Washing Machine Water Line Hook Ups
New washing machine?
Washing machines usually need both hot and cold water lines. These connections are set up by connecting to existing water lines, usually copper. In none exist, or they are corroded or leaking, it may be time to get new washing machine water lines installed.
Laundry Box Installation
Corroded or damaged washing machine hook ups means your washing machine won’t work. Sometimes you could hear banging in the pipes, which is also a sign that a repair is needed. If the drain hose has nowhere to go, that can also be supported with a laundry box installation.
A laundry box consists of a plastic box that is open on one side for access, but also allows for two water supply lines and a place for a drain pipe. When My Purple Plumber installs a laundry box, we include hammer arrestors which prevent the pipes from experiencing the jolt of pressure changes when the water turns off and on quickly. This prevents loud knocking noises from the pipes as well.
The laundry box can be left open, or the box can have a cover to give a better aesthetic look to the laundry room.
Washing Machine Valve Replacement
If your washing machine isn’t running, at it isn’t because of the unit itself, but because it isn’t getting water, you may need a washing machine valve replacement.
Not filling properly, or not filling with the right temperature of water are also signs that it needs to be replaced.
We replace the washing machine inlet valve, often located at the back of the washing machine and connects the cold and hot water hoses to the machine. When it is not properly controlling the flow of water, it is time to replace it.
Laundry Sink Issues
It isn’t helpful to have a laundry sink that isn’t functioning due to a clog or leak. We can help! Laundry tubs or sinks are designed like other sinks, often with different styles of faucets. These can be replaced or repaired just as other sinks would be.
Laundry Floor Drain
Laundry sinks can get clogged with mop strings or dirt and debris. This makes them hold water, rather than letting it flow down. Sometimes it can even cause your kitchen sink or floor drain to back up.
